We’re building momentum. In January, when Sunrise National mapped out a strategy for the year, they knew they were at a pivotal moment in the fight for the Green New Deal. If the Green New Deal Resolution didn’t take off and if the Presidential candidates didn’t start backing the Green New Deal, it would be game over for our movement. 

With your help, we have blown past this goal. 

Not only have an overwhelming majority of candidates backed the Green New Deal, our actions have forced the DNC to call for an unprecedented vote: will we have a climate debate?

Sunrise PDX is joining our Western Regional partners in the Bay Area on August 23, when the vote is scheduled, to demand that the DNC vote “yes” to a climate debate, to treat the climate crisis with the gravity that it deserves.
